FOOD: * Above average for Terre Haute. * MUST TRY the "Pablano Mole": One of Los Tres Caminos' newest dishes. A Fantastically DELICIOUS and unique meal that you won't find on any other menu in Indiana. * Basic fillers (Spanish rice, refried beans, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo) * Chips and Salsa are on-par with other restaurants in the area. Seemed to have a little something extra in the chips; I think they use baking soda or a dash of finely-ground salt in the dough as there was a hint of that savory flavor without the feel of salt grains. SERVICE: * Prompt * Polite * Somewhat Terse * Per the norm, some employees speak English well; others not so. CLEANLINESS: * Dining Rooms -- Fairly Tidy * Restrooms -- Decent w/ a cool tiled vanities.

I have revisited the place after experiencing other places in the general area. I am still keeping in mind that this location is not a metro or urban area; however the quality of food and service seems to have become less appealing. I will not longer recommend that a person eat here if you from outside the area. You may not get the same service or quality that was once offered.

Terre Haute has a plethora of Mexican restaurants that are all pretty similar, but I think Los Tres Caminos stands out from the crowd in the fact that the staff is quite friendly and the service is very quick. The food is your typical "American" style Mexican food which while it's not true authentic Mexican food, it's still pretty good. I recommend the Big Poncho Burrito but be warned, you better have a healthy appetite for that one.

Clean restaurant and nicely decorated with a cheerful atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food as fresh and tasty. Would definitely come back.

I just moved here from Texas so I admit my dislike of this restaurant may be due to having different taste in Mexican food, specifically Tex Mex or authentic Mexican. But I don't see how anyone could like it. Their salsa is closer to marinara than salsa. The red sauce they use is the mildest, most flavorless thing I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Even compared to other Mexican restaurants in Terre Haute, I don't think this place measures up.

Los Tres Caminos is the only thing I miss about Terre Haute. Fast, friendly and very inexpensive. The salsa was amazing and we found the food to be very fresh, hot and delicious. The white cheese sauce is downright addictive. Weve been searching for a comparable restaurant since weve moved and nothing comes even close.

Holy wow. I would LOVE to have this place in my back yard, and I live in Arizona! The food here is great, and not in any "It's Mexican food in Indiana" way. The food is great. Period. The portions are huge, and it's just a fun place to be. The decor is cool, the servers are friendly, and the patrons seem to be having a good time.

The BEST place for authentic Mexican food in Terre Haute! The staff is great, the chips and salsa are always fresh, and the prices are great.

Terre Haute is so lucky to have this place. It is SO good. I'm surprised more people don't know about it. The salsa is fab, so is the food. The servers are fast and attentive. But the salsa, it's amazing. Here's a picture I took for my snapchat story.

Consistently good and consistently fast. Always love the salsa and chips before the entree. It has a chill atmosphere and is good for groups. Not to mention the staff is always friendly and prompt! Easily the best Mexican food in Terre Haute.

I use to LOVE this place. It was my favorite spot for Mexican in Terre Haute. Over the span of the last six months or so...the quality has just started to slide. I get the same thing every time...a taco salad with steak. First I noticed a little less meat and a little more peppers...I could live with that...but then the quality of the shell has started to decline. The last couple of times I've went...the shell was soggy...okay...soggy isn't the right word...how about soft? Soft in the parts that should have been crispy. I gave them a second try a week or two later...because I know places can have an off day...same sub par result. They however almost always have great service...and I love their Pepsi.

Service was good, food was better than expected, probably the most authentic in Terre Haute, UT that's not saying much. Mind you, I've lived in Phoenix for the last six years and it is nearly impossible to get authentic Mexican cuisine in the midwest. But this was good. The salsa was excellent and I plan on buying a jar of it next time I go in (if they sell it). I ordered fish tacos. I miss the cilantro sour cream from Phoenix, but these were very good and very filling!

Nice Mexican restaurant. Good food, good service. Nothing special but definitely above average. Nice size portions for reasonable prices. There was a good variety of options to pick from.

Excellent Mexican place! We were traveling through with a group of 12 and stopped for lunch/dinner. We were seated quickly and served very quickly. The atmosphere was very authentic (we've lived in Honduras and been to Mexico several times) The food was the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant in a long time and prices were pretty good. Highly recommend!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
